On the last day of they were presented with shirts school, by Luella Graham On Monday, June 16, the Port Perry Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary held a most delicious lun- cheon, with 37 people present, an I am sure we all put on an extra lb. or so with all the lovely goodies. In the absence of the president Mary Cannon, who is holidaying in J Scotland, Elaine Buchanan our first vice-president opened the meeting with all repeating the auxiliary prayer in unison. She then welcomed all and gave a special welcome to all our guests. Good reports were given by all the officers. Bonnie Gerrow told us 7 boys and 6 girls arrived at the hospital in the last month. Hazel Coates had on display a number of articles which had been done for the Tuck Shop. A lovely layette was given by "Seagrave UCW. This of which the auxiliary say a Big Thank You to the Seagrave ladies. Mr. Brown wished the auxiliary a happy and safe summer, and also said the Hospital Board should be proud to be affilliated with a group like the auxiliary and also to the work of the adult volunteers and the Candy Stripers. Elaine reminded us of the annual meeting being held in the hospital on Tues. night June 24 at 8:00 p.m., at which time awards will be given out to volunteers and Candy Stripers. This being our last meeting until September 15th. Elaine asked us to try during the summer to think up some ways of making money to start our fall activities. Ladies try and keep in mind the times you are to work in the Tuck Shop. as the auxiliary has to staff it for July and August.
