Gladiators win another June 26 Provincial Signs 3 Gallaghers Gladiators 7 This game marked another win for the strong Gladiator's team. Scoring for Gladiator's were Ryan Duff with 3 and Jeremy Norton with 4. Although these 2 boys scored the goals, the whole team worked toge her with cxcellent kicking and CUPE golfers The weather couldn't have been better on Saturday, June 14, as over 50 golfers from the Durham Board of Education's CUPE Local 218 competed in their second annual "golf tournament at Summerlea Golf Course in Port Perry. Draws for prizes and gifts follow- ed the 18 hole round of golf. Winner of the men's trophy, with a score of 66, was Glenn Abbey. Runner-up was Bill Wright. Winner of the ladies' trophy was Marg Maltese with a score of 83. Brenda Miller and Sharon Taylor tied for second place. "Closest to the hole" prize was pick- ed up by Jim Woodward, with Marg Maltese in second place. Port Perry h ost for Midget tournament Port Perry Minor Softball Association will once again be hosting the 11th Annual Midget Soft- ball Tournament on July 18, 19 & 20. Flamingo, Vachon Division of Culinar will be again be sponsoring this event which is one of the most popular Softball Tournaments in the province for the Midget (17-18 yrs.) Boys Softball Teams. Chairman Wayne Venning and DURHAM SHADE & VERTICALS Vin Walker have lined up ten of the best teams in the province, with Agincourt, Napanee and Oshawa all returning for the eleventh time, with North York, Scarboro, Cedar Hill and a strong entry from Acton. Gallagher's Gladiator's 1 Denny Metals § Good team work was exhibited by Denny Metals with each goal going to a different player. Scoring was by elo Di Lise, Michael Nichols, Sandy Mark and Jeremy Luke. There were a lot .of close calls for Gallagher's team but only one found the mark by Jeremy Norton.
