a iB lA B pp g-- 24 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, August 12, 1986 Pee Wee team trips Orono 6-1 On Thursday the Legion Pee Wee Boys Soccer team travelled to ~ Orono to defeat Orono 6-1. Shawn Plain put Port on the scoreboard early with thé assist coming from John Cook and Jeff Parry. Jason Towns scored our next goal unassisted and then put his se- cond marker in with a great pass from Drew Cardinal. Jamie Brown scored twice with assists going to Stuart Dwyer and Alec Cramner. Shawn Plain chalked up his second goal when Jason Towns set him up with an open shot. Defensemen Greg Neve, Dave Cosway and John Cook stopped many shots. All the boys played a very strong game, and with the help of Mike Sluggett, Mike Tripp, Mark Cosway and Gavin Cronie who real- ly kept us on top of the play. DACO squeaks past Blackstock by 21-20 The Dennis Anderson Ladies Lob Ball team squeaked passed the Blackstock team by a score of 21 to 20 last Wednesday evening in Port Perry. Mel Meulemeester and Lillian Midgley won games at Fenelon Falls, but lost the third game on the last end in triples play. Mel and Lillian are heading to Peterborough to play in the Black Trophy event on August 13,1986. Luck with you. There was an executive meeting on Sunday night and was a spirited session.
