Simply a light at the end of the tunnel. Some sort of commitment that the problem is being corrected, even if it is over the long term. To date, no such commitment has been made by the new Liberal government. Everyone knows it was the former Tories who created the problem we are now stuck with, but that is no reason to stick your head in the sand while muttering "It's not my fault." Get on the bandwagon with me .... there's lots of room and your voice is desperately needed. Toronto. I love baseball, especially the Toronto Blue Jays, and I would love to see a domed stadium in Toronto. But you have to ask yourself what the priority should be. Perhaps I am being a little selfish. My son will be starting university next year all being well. I want to make sure he, and those like him, have the best possible education this . country can offer. I am starting to wonder if he will get it in Ontario. Our children are our future and the education of these children the key to a successful future for this land. Your Member of Parliament in this area is George Ashe. Tops as teacher From page 16 home, he did not teach him any classes. "He didn't want to be in any of my classes and I didn't want him there," laughed Hutchinson. "As a matter of fact Lloyd didn't even take biology in high school ... now he is taking biochemistry at Guelph ... kind of funny, eh?" Hutchinson admitted he learned he had been nominated for the award last March, but had thought no more about it. He said he was proud of the award and had not yet decided whether he could spare the time to attend the luncheon in his honour in Baltimore Maryland on October 10. It is at this luncheon that the awards will be given out. Hutchinson will be eligible for retirement in five years. At the pre- sent time, he states there is nothing he would rather do than continue his teaching career. "But who know what five years will bring," he said, 'I might take a stint at teaching overseas somewhere, but I'm not convinced yet ... I have a few things mulling around in my mind." Many young people from the Brooklin area have been fortunate to be students in Hutchinson's classes and many more will be .n the years to come. They are all bet- ter people for it.
