Tool Mosquitos lost their playoff games to Hampton 5-1 and Tyrone 4-1 to end the season. Matthew Allardyce scored both goals. ATJ finished seventh in the ten team league and ended up playing first place Hampton and fourth place Tyrone in the playoffs. "We had our end of the season par- ty at the Plain residence in Prince Albert. The boys played a softball game against the Pee Wee Soccer team followed by a barbeque. Matthew Allardyce received the leading scorer trophy with a total of 21 goals. Jake Luke received the most improved player trophy and Gary Norton received the most valuable player trophy. Hampton eventually won the league championship with an im- pressive 19 wins, 1 tie and no loss season. Wait 'til next year! On Saturday, September 27 the Kinsmen Pee Wee Boys soccer team played their final divisional cham- pionship game and lost in a shoot- out. RUBBER STAMPS Fast Delivery PORT PERRY STAR 235 Queen Street 985-7383 soccer season The Port Perry team outplayed, the Bowmanville Blizzards throughout the game but could not monopolize on their shots. The shots on net were 19-5 in our favour, but only Alec Cramner was able to score a goal. Shawn Plain made the penal- ty kick and after a Bowmanville player headed it out, Alec kicked it high over the goaltenders head. Bowmanville scored to tie up the game and forced it into a 10 minute overtime. Again the Port boys played fantastically and monopoliz- ed the game, but were unable to score. We then went to a 5 man shoot-out. Five of Port's strongest players took shots on net but only 2 scored in comparison to 3 for Bowmanville. Good try Jason Towns, Jason Reetham-Clayton, Jamie Brown, Ian Cobham and Alec Cramner. Greg Neve, our goaltender deserves a special congratulations after playing so well even after suf- fering an injury in the first half. On behalf of all the parents and boys on the team - Thank-you Don and Doug for making our season such a happy and successful one.
