The mall opens at 9:30 a.m. and closes Monday to Friday at 9.30 p-m., and Saturday at 5:30 p.m. This will be one of many special events scheduled to be held throughout Ontario to help bring a greater awareness and appreciation of the importance of farming and related industries in the province. Agriculture and Food Minister Jack Riddell noted that between 130,000 and 150,000 people work on Ontario farms, with many thousands more employed in pro- cessing, packaging, transporting and selling the products. "That makes it an extremely im- portant industry in this province," Riddell said. 'Agri-Food Week is a good time for all of us to remember the contributions that our farmers and others working in the industry make to our quality of life and to the economy." Agri-Food Week is sponsored by the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, a number of commodity groups and the Durham Region Federation of Agriculture.
