World wide Communion Sunday was observed...a solemn religious ceremony to be observed by Christ's followers by which their obligations to Him are renewed and ratified. Clerk of Session Lawrence Malcolm and Elders Norm Mairs & Ralph Sadler assisted the minister. Rev. Dale Davis used as his excellent theme "What's In A Name?" A large number of the S. School youngsters were on hand to hear the minister's interesting story before retiring to classes in the lower hall. Nestleton United Anniversary Service will be held Sunday, October 26, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Glenn Jackson the guest speaker. Caesarea Card Game At the Wednesday evening ~ Euchre sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary...held at the Caesarea Centre.. first prize was a tie with 'George Mathewson & Anne Harran each holding 80. Roy Werry was low with 49. Shirley Gettins and Janet Wilson were in charge of the lunch. We would like to see more friendly faces at the euchres - folks - we miss you all. Nestleton Presbyterian Church The World-wide Observance of Sacrament was held in Nestleton Presbyterian Church on Sunday, October 5 at 10 a.m. with Rev. F. "Swann in the pulpit. Psalm 8 was read in unison, and Scripture from Isaiah 53. Speaking on the theme of how famous battles had influenced the history of many countries, the struggle between evil and the kingdom of righteousness in the Garden of Gethsemane assured Christians of redemption. Sunday School was held during the sermon - children of all ages welcome. Next Sunday, Thanksgiv- ing Service at 10 a.m. Visitors always welcome! Nestleton Women's Institute Meet The Nestleton Branch met on Wed., Oct. 1st at 1:30 p.m. at the Nestleton Community Centre, with president Mrs. Neta Fish in the chair. She welcomed the members, read a poem, and opened with the Ode and Collect. Mrs. Gwen Malcolm -Treasurer, read the minlites of two previous meetings and the financial state- ment was presented by Mrs. Rika Wygerde. The Branch has accepted two in- vitations to Hampton...one to their regular meeting on Nov. 4th and to their Quilt and Craft Show on Nov. 13. Also they are invited to Maple Grove on Oct. 6 and the Leaders course at Maple Grove on Oct. 6 and the Leaders course at Maple Grove "Short Order Meals on Oct. 7,10 to 4 p.m. which! [Rika Wygerde will at- tend as leader. Another volunteer who would be interested is to contact Rika. Caesarea Community Church A good congregation on Sunday morning at the friendly little Caesarea Church. Rev. Dr. Crawford, baptised Carl Bruce Geer, infant son of David and Bever- ly Geer of Caesarea...an impressive service with deep religious significance. Many relatives and friend were in attendance for the service. Rev. Crawford, spoke on "The Signs of His Coming Again" from Luke 17:26 - a completion of last weeks service. The children sang two numbers applicable to baptism - - with Anne Maschke at the piano. Kathleen and Anne played a duo on the organ and Piano for the hymns. Special speakers the next two Sundays - Jerry Jonkheer for the Thanksgiving service and Robt. Heayn for October 19. Try to attend these special days in the life of the church.
