™ Ties mark weeks Novice League Another three games were played in Port Perry Minor Hockey's Novice House League last Saturday. However, unlike the first week when two of the three games ended in ties, there were three winners and two of the three games were quite lop- sided. Game 1: ReMax Realty - 13 Van Camp Contracting - 4 In this game four players fired the hat-trick for ReMax. Ian McCready, Jon Jamieson, Matt Phoenix, and Adam Hunter had three goals apiece, with Jeff Jamieson netting one. Assists were credited to Jason Hopkins, Adam Hunter and Jeff Jamieson. For Van Camp, Derek Jansen, Ryan Larmer, Stephen Hiemstra, and Daryl Bourgeois had singles. Daryl also picked up an assist. Game 2: David's Hairstyling - 7 Kinsmen - 2 This game was a close one through two periods, but David's scored four unanswered goals in the third to salt away the victory. Matt Brown fired four goals for David's, Jeff Clarke getting two, and Mark Turnbull a single. Kinsmen got goals from Steve Elliot, assisted by Ian Shrigley, and Darryl Moase, assisted by Matt McClelland. Game 3: Swamp Auto Body - 5 Port Perry Printing - 3 The closest game of the day saw Swamp getting goals from Darren Kinnunen (2), Darryl McEnaney, Robbie Martyn, and Craig Laird. Ryan Edgar assisted on Robbie's goal. For Port Perry Printing, Bobbie Cracknell, Matt Baxter, and Jeff Griffen scored. Kirk Swain had two assists, singles to Ryan Morden and Jeff Griffen. Juveniles zip home with 7-5 win at Manvers The Port Perry Juveniles travell- ed to Manvers on Sunday, October 19 and came back home with a 7-5 victory. The Port squad was lead by the powerful offense of Karl Durham and Willie Edwards each with 3 points. The goals were scored by; Karl Durham had 2 goals and 1 assist, Jim White scored 2 goals and 1 assist, Willie Edwards tallied with a goal and 2 assists. The crafty veteran Robert Tobin came out of retirement to score a goal and 1 assist. Petites. This year we have moved up to C.O.R.L. 'B' for a better level of competition. On Thursday, October 16, we + travelled to Harmen Park in Oshawa for an exhibition game against the Oshawa A team. After the final whistle we were down by a 10-4 score. Port started out strong # 1d within the first minute was on the scoreboard with a goal by Denna Lovering. We kept up the close checking and for the first while seemed to have the Oshawa team confused. After our second goal by Denna assisted by Shannon Fox, Oshawa seemed (0 pull together and had soon tied and then taken over the lead to end the period with a 4-3 score. During the first period it was anyone's game. Out third goal of the period came from Lyndsay Dutkewich assisted by Kelly Menzies. During the second period our girls looked as if they were tired and con- fused. Oshawa scored six goals. Port's lone goal came from Denna with the assist going to Lyndsay.
