Pat Asling was with her parents Don and Stella on Sunday to celebrate Don's birthday, Happy Birthday also to Jamie Ashton who is celebrating his 12th birthday on Monday with his friends. Earl and Marie Wilson visited Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thaxter at Beaverton one evening recently. November 2 at Epsom Church at 11:15 a.m. we will have our Anniver- sary Service. The Choir promises special music. The guest speaker is Mr. John Tapscott. The Halloween Party at Epsom was our usually wonderful success. The Youth group joined with the Social Club for a fun evening. The costumes were surprising. The Pan- da Bears paid a visit along with ghosts, ghosts gorilla, witches and even a vampire. Of course there was pumpkin carving, but the funniest was eating doughnuts on a string. The catch was the doughnuts had a liberal coating of whipped cream. After games all enjoyed a hearty lunch. Thanks to our hosts and hostesses for planning such a delightful evening as an assignment for the 4H Course Etiquette for the 80's the girls host a party. Wendy and Janice Evans hosted a party recently for Anna Evans 7th birthday and entertained their cousins. We hope Rose Evans will soon be in better health. Ross and Ray Munro and Ronald Leigh have returned safely from a moose hunting trip. A week ago Evelyn Hansen's bir- thday was celebrated with a family dinner at Port Perry and a surprise party later at the home of Darlene Christie with nearly ferty in atten- dance.
