Many thanks to Dianne, Anne and Kaaren for filling in for me when I was sick and for their best wishes. The kind- ness and generosity extended to my family and I by our neighbgurs was simply wonderful. Thank you so much! Congratulations are certainly in order for Leslie and Lorna Durward who have received some 'very prestigious awards recently. Leslie was th. happy recipient of a silver plate from the Markham Fair for Champion Junior Drives, a prize donated by Joyce and Bob Lapp. Leslie and Lorna also had the pleasure of showing Mr. Gord Lewis' Clydesdales at the Royal Winter Fair. Lorna was awarded the 4th prize ribbon and Leslie won a 10th prize ribbon. Competition at this top-class fair is keen and it is certainly an honour to have some top-class competitors from our area! Best wishes for another suc- cessful year in 1987 kids! Earl and Joan Durward were - delighted to win the Harold Gordon Memorial Trophy for Best Heavy Draft team at Sunderland Fair.
