Central Seven's Frank Murphy (centre) was thrilled to accept a $2,000 cheque from Allen's Siding Products Ltd., presented by president Mike Allen (left) and vice-president Rob Allen. Allen's Siding kicks in $2,000 for new Central Seven home Contracting Allen's Siding Pro- ducts Ltd. for the new house on Carlan Road was the best move" Central Seven could have made. Not only did the local company do a great job on the siding, it also kick- ed in a substantial donation for Cen- tral Seven's latest endeavour. Mike Allen, president of Allen's Siding, presented Central Seven's Frank Murphy with a cheque for $2,000 last Wednesday afternoon. The funds will go towards the com- pletion of the house on Carlan Road, just a stone's throw from the Cen- tral Seven office on Regional Road 8. The house is designed to hold six developmentally handicapped residents, all part of the Central Seven program. The house is basically completed, Mr. Murphy says, except for landscaping which will be finished in the spring. The grand opening will be held when the landscaping is completed. Six individuals have already been living in it for more than a month, many of whom either work at Cen- tral Seven or are part of Central Saven's Lifestyle program. The donation from Allen's Siding, Mr. Murphy says gratefully, will definitely come in handy. He believes it is one of the largest single donations ever made to Central Seven. "We are certainly very ap- preciative,"' he told the Star. Mike Allen, on the other hand, was thrilled to be able to make the donation. "I can't think of a better organiza- tion," he said. "You people do good work." TODAY!!
