Port Midgets on a streak Without a '"'pure" goal scorer on their roster, there's evidence in this 'team, that tells us, they're going to break out some night in a scoring binge that will even surprise their supporters. Nevertheless someone seems to come up with the hot hand and on Monday night past, Blair Phillips happened to be it, as he led the Canadian Tire Midgets 2's to an 8-3 win over Omemee. Bobby Orr fired the puck at the net and Jamie Menzies tipped it home to give the tiremen a 1-0 lead after one period of play. Omemee got the tying goal about five minutes into the second period, but only to have the tiremen come right back on a goal by Blair Phillips, unassisted. - Terry May back after two weeks on the injury list, scored with help from Phillips and Menzies - 3-1 after two periods of play. When Terry May threw that shoulder check mid- way through the second period, we all knew Terry was back in fine form. Port Perry C.T.C. didn't waste any time as they took control of the game. With Omemee getting two goals in the third period, Blair Phillips had a field day scoring Solid effort The Port Perry Juveniles met another strong team on Wednesday night. Although Sunderland Juveniles are undefeated, Port Perry put forth an excellent effort with the final scoring being 6-5 for Sunderland. Scoring for Port Perry were: Karl Durham (2), Willie Edwards (1), John Harman (1), Derrek Dexter (1). Assists were made by: Dave Culbert (1), John Harman (1), Der- rek Dexter (1), Joe Forder (1), and Jeff Wray (2). John Moore played another outstanding game in goal and managed to keep the scoring to a minimum. The Juveniles would like to thank Dave Culbert, John Harman and Derrek Dexter for filling in for ab sent players, due to suspension and/or injury. These three players helped spark up the offence and were very much appreciated. The next home game will be on Wednesday, December 10 against Woodville. Come out and help sup- port Port Perry Minor Hockey and the Emiel's Juveniles. twice, with assists going to Jeff Oke 2, and Menzies. Jeff Oke then scored after taking a pass from Keith Roberge. After Omemee got the se- cond goal of this period, the C.T.C. tiremen, with Blair Phillips scoring his fourth and fifth goals, David Ir- vine sent Blair in alone and he made no mistake. Menzies broke up a play by Omemee, fed a pass to Jeff Oke 'who in turn passed to Blair Phillips who again made no mistake. Final score C.T.C. 8-3 over Omemee.. 4-1 VICTORY On Wednesday night the C.T.C.'s travelled to Pickering Complex to do battle with Pickering Minor Hockey and we came away a 4-1 win. The boys used this game to refine the passing attack. Eric Don- ma gave the tiremen a 1-0 lead, with When You're Thinkin Snowmobiles Mike Gibson and Bobby Or picking up assists. Bobby Orr added the Sood goal of the period on a pass from Mike Gibson. Mark Kendall started this play by passing to Gibby. In the second period, newcomer, Jeff Breen scored after some great goal mouth passing between Phillips and Menzies. These three just about scored again, they did, but only to have the play called dead with the goal net off its posts. David Irvine scored in the third period, after taking a pass from Bobby Orr. The final score 4- 1 C.T.C. over Pickering. Now the boys are home on Mon- day, December 8, 1986 against Orono. This is a game the boys are looking forward to.
