Family News Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hill of Oshawa were Sunday luncheon guests with daughter Regenia and David Walker, Avril & Kyle of Scugog Point, and attended Nestleton Church service. On Sunday, Dec. 7th, Dan and Faye Corby and Andrew ... and Neta Fish of Blackstock had dinner with Mrs. Mary Jane Wilson of Seabright. Later they called on Mr. and Mrs. Clare Snodden, Sunderland, and Heather Munro of Sonya. Sam and Mabel Cawker, Scugog Pt. Rd., were pleasantly surprised on Sat. to have niece June Car- ruthers of Stayner drop in for lunch, and a "catching up" on the family news. The Cawkers had a nice visit over a cup of refreshing tea with Minnie Fisher on Friday afternoon at her lovely apartment in Port Perry. Nestleton United Church Greeters at the door for Advent III Sunday were John and Carol Doyle, Karen and Tracy. A fine attendance for a special day with Rev. Dale Davis conducting the service with many assisting him in reading, etc. Arlene Malcolm was the pianist for the service. In the choir the popular quartet sang "We've Got Something To Share" with Carol Mairs accom- panying on the piano. Being White Gift Sunday 1986, the theme for the service was "Hope Through Giving" a very meaningful service. The of- fering and the White Gifts were received and dedicated by the minister. The Advent Candle of Waiting and Hoping was lit. (The Service was prepared by Teslec Alfano, Rich- mond Hill, Ontario, Dept. of Stewardship Services 1986). This coming Sunday evening the Nestleton Sunday School concert will be held. Try to be there!
