Bantams win, tie Last week the Goreski Insulation Bantams played two games and ended up with 1 win and 1 loss. On Tuesday night we travelled to Cobourg to play a much improved Cobourg team. The final score end- ed up 4-2 for Goreski"s as they played a solid if unspectacular game. The Port squad only had 10 skaters but still managed to out- skate the home squad. Mike Sorley led the way with 2 goals with singles going to Jason Weinhold and Todd Taylor. Kevin Gibson picked up 3 assists while Todd Taylor added 2 and Graham Sullivan, Paul Allen and Mike Sorley all added one. The next night at home against Stouffville Goreski"s once again skated out with only 2 lines and were soundly beaten 8-0. Absolutely nothing worked for Port as they were thoroughly out-played. Without the work of goaltender Brad Bricknell early in the game the score could have been much worse. This week Goreski's travelled to Little Britain on Monday evening for an exhibition game before hosting Port Hope in a league game on Tuesday night. Port Hope also hap- pened to be Goreski's opponent in the first round of play-offs that start in 6 or 7 weeks. This fact should make for a very interesting contest, On Monday, December 29 Poit travels to Uxbridge for a tourna- ment to finish off the year. Game time this Tuesday night :s 9:00 so come on out and support the Goreski Bantams and Mino» Hockey. Also the players ani coaching staff would like to wish all of their fans and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Ne, Year. Your friendship is special to us.
