Little Mandi Coates gets a helping hand on instructor. the balance beam from her Kindergym A perfectly perfect Christmas by Dan Hill Gr. 7 - Cartwright Central P.S. A perfect Christmas to me would be that I got everything I wanted for Christmas and that my family would have a nice turkey dinner for supper, also that my Grandma would not feel lonely at Christmas this year. I hope that Jane, Jeff, Bob and Joe will visit her. I also hope that all the poor people and the peo- ple in nursing homes will have a nice Christmas too this year. Thanks to my school 'Cartwright Central Public School" we will help the poor people by bringing a gift to school and donating it to them. Also we will be bringing in canned goods so the poor people can have a nicer Christmas than usual. I also hope the same for the people who live out on the streets in cities like Toronto and other places and for people without family. The parents and relatives who gathered in the gymnasium of Port Perry High School Thursday even- ing were bursting with pride as they watched their children perform in a YMCA Kindergym open house. The Kindergym program wound to a close after a term of exercise and fun on the balance beam, tram- woline, vault horse, and the mats, enjoy Kindergym and will continue with a 'new term in January. The open house was a chance to show parents what their children had been up to since September, and by the looks on their faces, they were suitably impressed. For more information about the next Kindergym term, contact the YMCA on Queen Street. oll Showing a young lad how to do a somersault at the YMCA's Kindergym open house Thursday night at Port F erry High School.
