All six teams in the league were present with Emmersons taking to the ice first, going down to defeat 3-1 to Whitby Weedman. Bill Gerber, from Charlie Dennis, accounted for their lone marker. Second up for the day was Goreskis, who blanked Belamys of ~~ Oshawa by a 4-0 count. Goal scorers were Bruce Woodrow from Bill St. John. Randy Sullivan unassisted, Mark Lee from Rob Evans and Tim Ashbridge from Bart Wagar. The next Port team to engage in battle was Blackstock who blasted the Oshawa Pitbulls 8-1. Two goals apiece went to Tim Cochrane, Ron Short, and Tom Wotten. Ron Wagg and Steve Hawes picked up singles with the assists going to Dave Dalton with a pair and singles to Wagg, Hawes, Short and Rick. Bayard. Oddfellows squeaked past the Toronto Trojans in their first game by a 2-0 score. Their goal getters were Steve Robinson unassisted and Doug Prescott from Robinson. After Oddfellows stepped off the ice! Utica stepped on and unfor- tunately went down to defeat by a 3-0 score to the Georgetown Flames from Brampton. B&L Donuts were the fourth last team to come up with a win as they snuck past Oshawa Weedman 2-1. Jim Wéir from Brian Dalton, and Eric Kristensen unassisted supplied the goals. Emmersons were knocked out of the competition.in the second round by a 2-1 count to Belamys. Gerber notched his second of the day from Neil Guihrie. Goreskis continued their winning ways and earned the bye to the final as they knocked out Whitby Weed- ~man 2-1. Tom Powell accounted for both goals from Dave Dickson and Bruce Woodrow.
