Muriel Berry, who's in charge of adult education at the school, said last week that starting in September, a se§ond course in ac- counting will be &ffered along with courses in data processing and retailing. Other courses being offered are Business English, typing, business procedures and law. All are credit courses and offered in_the mornings only. Mrs. Berry said that one new aspect of the adult ~ education program at the school next September will- be the co- operative education. This is a combination of in- school classes and out of school training in jobs with local businesses in the Port Perry area. Co-op education has proven very popular and successful this year with regular students at the high school. The 'Two Hundred Dollar scholarship is one of four scholarships awarded to 4-H members across Ontario. Selec- tions fer the scholarship are made on the basis of 4-H involvement, ex- tracurricular activities and scholastic standing. Lynn has been a very active 4-H member' in Durham East for eight years. She has successfully completed thirty- two 4-H projects, receiving many local, regional and provincial awards. such as the Ted Buttery TEES =r CA, LALLA 1 unit NE AHI Memorial Scholarship, and the Gulf Canada 4-H Citizenship Study Award. Lynn is currently enrolled - at the Ontario Agricultural College in her second year of the Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) program.
