The se- cond period Port Hope tied up the = game but less than a minute later Jan Heyes put Port Perry ahead again with the assists going to Brett < Puckrin and Jason Cochrane. Jeff + Parry kept tight in the slot of Port 3 Hope's net to pick up a great pass from winger Jody Logan and ~ defenceman Steve Laird. The third period Port Perry con- tinued its pressure and Steve ~ Staniland made a quick shot and caught the goalie unaware. The _ assists went to Mark Andrews and ~ Jason Towns. John Collins scored when he picked up the rebound shot from Brett Puckrin. Mark Andrews ~ also assisted on the goal. Jan Heyes ~ finished off Port's scoring with a pass coming from Ken Winslow. ~ Port Hope came to Port Perry on Friday night and our boys were out to clean them away. PEE WEE TOURNAMENT JANUARY 31 PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, February 3, 1987 -- 25 The team played their first game. =a with a rival team from Lindsay and Shawn Larocque started in net for Port and played a real strong game. Brian Madill came in half way and continued the fine quality of goaltending. 4 In the first period the shots on net scored one goal. In the second period Port only had 3 shots on net to Lindsay's 7 but Jeff Parry scored for Port Perry with assists going to Mark Andrews and Steve Staniland. Lindsay again had scored a goal. Inthe third period Port was able to get 13 shots on net, and Jason Cochrane scored a goal along with Jan Heyes and Steve Staniland. The assists came from Steve Laird and Jeff Parry. "The boys went on to meet a rough - team the Oshawa Bruins, and again were able to come out the winners by a score of 3-1. This game the shots on net were very lop-sided 32 Port, 15 Oshawa, but due to excellent goaltending by Oshawa the scoring was kept to a minumum. Brett Puckrin scored Port's first goal with the assists from Jason Cochrane and Jan. Heyes. The awesome duo of Cochrane and Heyes scored Port's second goal. Mark Andrews capitalized on Oshawa's 2 man penalty by scoring on a pass from Brett Puckrin. The Legionnaires advanced to the championship round against a strong team from Napanee and were fortunate to keep the scoring at 3-0 for Napanee. . Goaltender Shawn Larocque played an outstanding game as Napanee fired 21 shots. YMCA floor 'hockey results Jeff Whitfield with 3, Jamie Irvine with 2 and 1 each from Steve Lawrence, Trisha Pearce and Joshua Coffey. In the Blackstock Senior Division, Cartwright Canadians 'were defeated by a score of 94 by the Blackstock Bruins.
