It is during these times of emergency when you realize just how great it is to have good neighbours and Mrs. Stiller is very thankful for the kindness . shown to her by the Croxall family who helped with the babysitting. Dale and Karen Beare of Burl- ington visited with Mrs. Crosier on the weekend. It's good to know that Mrs. Crosier is feeling much better following her bout with the flu bug. The United Church held their an- | nual Congregational meeting on Sunday. The following members are welcomed to the Board: Elders Mr. Earl Taylor, Mrs. Nancy Hill, Mrs. Faye Ashton and Mrs. Lynne Ber- trand. Stewards Mr. Keith Ashton, Mrs. Elva Kerry and Mr. Rod McKay. Some of these members have already completed a three year term and will carry on for another three years. This service on Sunday was the last to be held in Utica Church until the renovations in the basement are completed. All services from now on will be held in Epsom; Sunday School and Church starting at 11:15 a.m. The Youth Group will meet this Saturday -afternoon at 4:00 at Ashton's for toboganning and back to Kerry's afterwards. ~ Choir practice for the seniors will - Emergency shows how helpful neighborsare | be held Wed. at 8 p.m. at the Sobil |! home in Utica Heights. Junior choir | will practise on Thurs. after school in Epsom Church. The U.C.W. will be hosting their sister U.C.W. from Cherrywood and members of Goodwood U.C.W. on i A Tues. Jan. 10th at 1:30 p.m. in Ep- som Church. There will be a special speaker for the occasion and 'all ladies are invited. Euchre winners on Fri. evening were Ladies: Ezella Harwood 1st, Rita Storie 2nd and Annie Bowman low. Men: Joe McCaslin 1st, Bruce Bright 2nd and Irwin Kydd low. Freeze-out winners were Bertha Hurren and Bruce Bright while Zella Harwood and Frances | Hockley were second.
