28 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, March 3, 1987 Sudden-death overtime goal gives Uxbridge Bruins 1-0 lead The series got underway last Wednesday evening in Port Perry and it took nearly 71 minutes of hockey before the Bruins won it 3-2 in the second overtime period. The score was tied 2-2 after régulation play and remained tied after a ten minute straight time period. Then, just 55 seconds into * sudden death, forward Paul Butter- worth re-directed a shot from the blue line to give the Bruins the victory. The MoJacks never had the lead through this exciting game as Bruin netminder Joe Risk came up with an outstanding performance facing 57 shots. Time and again he foiled Mo- Jack scoring chances and he was especially sharp with the. glove hand, making a couple of big stops in the second period on hard wrist shots from captain Andy Sutch. At the other end of the rink, Paul Goreski also turned in a fine game between the pipes.
