A major benefit of the Open Houses is this: Plus Bus will donate $1.00 to Com- munity Care for each one-day tour ticket purchased on Open House. Days. The donated money will be divided between Community Care in Whitby and in Scugog. (Ticket pur- chase, however, is not required to come and have fun at an Open House!) What is Community Care? A non-profit, volunteer organiza- tion, Community Care provides to senior citizens, to the handicapped and to people with special needs, services not otherwise, available within the community. Transporta- tion to doctors, Meals on Wheels, .cleaning and other home help are just a few of the many services offered. What's Plus Bus Tours? * Owner, Barb Porter, explained, "Plus Bus offers one-day tours as fundraisers for non-profit groups. In exchange for securing the passengers for a trip, a group receives a percentage of the tour cost as a refund." Although some tours are open only to group members and friends, several other trips are available to any interested person.
