He received top prizes in the 1976 CBC Talent Festival, and the 1978 Geneva Inter- national Competition. He is active both as a soloist and as a recitalist. Mr. Quarrington has been a. member of teaching faculties at the University of Western Ontario, Mount Orford' (Quebec), 'and the Banff School of Fine Arts (Alberta), among others. . The Food Grains Pancake supper was enjoyed by a good crowd: Floyd Evans showed pictures taken in Ux- bridge when grain was being bagg- ed to feed the starving people. Pat Asling showed some very good film she had brought home from a trip to Northern Scotland. The men will be bagging grain in Uxbridge at the Co-op all this week and anyone who could spare a lit time, please come along, it would most appreciated. They have 4000 bags to fill this week. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Evans were visiting relatives in Delaware last week. The Science Fair is on at Port Perry High School this week. Several from this area are participating. Oshawa-Whithy Kiwanis Music Festival is set Kifest, which covers the Durham region, is one qf the top 10 festivals in Canada and this year will see ap- proximately 18,000 competitors tak- Ing part. The two week Festival will be highlighted with a special evening called "The Night of Stars' on April 15 at Eastdale Auditorium where some of the Festival's top com: petitors will perform.
