Obituary Robert Willis Holliday After a courageous battle against Cancer, Robert Willis Holliday pass ed away February 10, 1987 at Port Perry Hospital. Barn August 16, 1936 son of W: alter Holliday and Evelyn Prouse. he received his education at Raglan Public School and Port Perry High School and was a member of Colum bus United Church Bob was active in 4-H Club work and Junior Farmers, both as a par ticipant_and later as a leader far which he received many awards After leaving high school, Bob. worked with his father on the fam ly dairy farm and continued to do so after his marriage on September 19, 1959 to Shirley Bray, until his father retired in 1965 For a number of years he worked as night dispatcher for Smith Transport of Oshawa, before pur chasing the farm in Blackstock and gomg into the Livestock Trucking Business tut time Some of Bob's happiest times were spent inthe Show Ring, show ing Guernsey cattle which took him tomany major fairs, including the Canadian National Exhibition, Royal Winter Fair, Central Canada Exhibition and Ottawa Winter Fair The many people attending Bob's - funeral showed the number of friends he had made over the years, both 1 his livestock trucking and showing cattle He is survived by his wife Shirley. two daughters- Sharon of Oshawa and Shelley at home, his parents Walter and Evelyn of Columbus and brother Gordon of Oakwood A Funeral Service was held at the Wagg-MeDermott Panabaker Funeral Home, on Friday, February 13, 1987 at 2.00 p.m. Inter ment Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin.
