Easter Sunday service will be held at 11:15 a.m. with Holy Com- munion being served. Up-dating the progress being made in Utica Church to accom- modate the Day Care Center - the well is completed and an ample supply. of water obtained - volunteers have been busy painting etc. and more are needed as well as cleaners and fix-it men. If anyone has talents in these areas please contact Linda Irving and she will see that you are kept busy. Her phone number is 985-3475. Fundraising for the Center - The weigh-in for the lose-a-thon was on . Sunday and sponsors are needed for these people who are willing to lose a few pounds for charity. There will be an auction sale at the Church on Saturday, May 23 at 10:00 a.m. and donations or articles, large or small will gladly be accepted. Paul Baster is in charge of this but if anyone has articles to be picked up I'm sure that any members of the church will see that the message gets to the proper authority, Paul's phone number is 852-7433. On Saturday, Mrs. Crosier was a guest at the marriage of Terry Jones to Craig Ewing in Kingsview | United Church and at the reception in the French Cultural Center in Oshawa. Two of Utica's former citizens passed away on Friday, Mrs. Fred Wilkinson of Sunderland and Mr. Mervin (Pat) Ross of Brooklin: Our sympathy to the families in their bereavement. Mr. and Mrs. John Carre of Bridgenorth were weekend guests with the Eric Carre family. Children, grand-children & great- grand-children of Mrs. Eva Sutcliffe gathered at the home of June and Stewart Bray in Raglan on Sunday for the celebration of her 80th birthday. 4-H Achievement Day was held on Saturday in Burns Presb. Church in Ashburn. Our local group led by Gail Kerry and Kathy Accera were in attendance. Congratulations to Sandra Kerry who received her 12 project Provincial award. Other members from Utica are Julia Croxall, and Karyn Bissen, and Susan Gourlie from Epsom. Sunday visitors with Mrs. Mildred Thompson were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Anderson of Scarborough. Euchre' winners from Friday evening were Ladies 1st May Grif- fen, 2nd Mary Cannon and low Lu- cienne Ross. Men's 1st Murray Geer, 2nd Bill Brown, and low Frank Andrews. Freeze-out winners were Elva Kydd and Erma Watson - with Martin Gali and Archie Watson coming second. There wiil be another euchre in two weeks.
