MORATORIUM LIFTED -- Federal Agriculture Minister, John Wise, has announced a con trolled phase-out of the moratorium on foreclosures by Farm Credit Cor- poration Canada (FCC) effective May 1, 1987 All FCC clients who were facing recovery action when. the «Moratorium was imposed will be contacted by the Corporation in the next few weeks so that their current financial situation can be analyzed and the alternatives discussed. The moratorium was declared on September 17, 1985 so that FCC clients would not be forced to leave their farms while programs to assist them were being developed, such as the Farm Debt Review Boards and the Canadian Rural Transition Program. The debt review process gives farmers who are insolvent or in financial difficulty access to an im- partial review of their situation. Elaine, alone with seven other 4H members from across Ontario, will meet with 4-H'ers from across Canada and the United States. The conference is held in Toronto next November. Elaine has been a very active member of the Durham East 4H program since 1980. She has suc- cessfully completed 30 clubs in a variety of project areas. The National 4-H Conference is one of six conferences co-ordinated annually by the Canadian 4-H Coun- cil.
