Dora Martyn, Convenor for World Affairs in- troduced Kathryn Cevrly who show- ed pictures and told of her approx- imately 9 months back-packing through Europe beginning with the British Isles. She told of how disap- pointed'she was with the people of Enniskillen, Ireland. But she understood when on the second day there, the army training building was blown up and not a window was left in Enniskillen. Luckily she was out of town exploring the surroun- ding countryside at the time of the PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, June 9, 1987 -- 15 explosion. Having been raised in Enniskillen, Canada she looked for- ward to meeting people in the town of that name in Ireland. Her husband joined her for two 5-week vacations and a couple of weeks at Christmas. She also had relatives join her along the way. Kathryn travelled on a budget of $25.00 per day. What with back packing she couldn't buy souvenirs except pins, badges and flags. Kathryn's pictures and commen- tary were well worth the time to see and hear. Edith McLaughlin thank: ed her og behalf of the group present. Roll Call - What country woufd you like to back-pack through?
