Michelle Morton and Stacey Swain displayed excellent hitting. and fielding for the Backhoe team. Jennifer Beatty and Tanya Gunther were the stars of the Gord Lewis team A tight 'game was played in Seagrave that night, with Seagrave edging out Hank's Bakery 15-14. Jenny Taylor and Laura Phoenix showed outstanding hitting and good fielding plays for Seagrave. Shannon Fox pitched well and Kendra McCrae was sharp on first base for the Bakery. SQUIRT GIRLS Seagrave won another tight game over the Port Perry Star team 9-8. Laurie Gladish pitched 4 good inn- ings while Mandy Goreski made some good plays on 2nd base for the Star team. Rhonda Winslow hit the game winning RBI and Lexie Jef- fery also had some good hits for Seagrave. On another cold night in Nestleton the home team Cummings Backhoe team, defeated Hank's Bakery by a score of 24-5. The cold didn't bother Jenny Vohing's batting, she hit a home run 'and singles. Lyndsay Dulkewich was solid behind the plate for the Backhoe team Misty Garvock was slightly injured mak- ing a tough out on 2nd base. Taylor team handed the visiting causeway Esso team their first defeat of the season. Brandon Guidon hit 2 homeruns while Andre Gotthelf was solid behind the plate for the Taylor team. Mike Bardeleben had a homerun and Terry Park pitched 3 good innings for the Esso team. The final score was 20-18 for Taylors. The other Monday game saw the undefeated Lil Gators team beat the Blackstock Lions 166. The cold didn't seem to bother Chris Esper who turned a heads up double play by himself and Frazer Puterbough did some excellent hitting for the Gator's. The Lions had good pit- ching from Cory Wilson and Chris Beacock, while playing short stop made 2 diving catches for key outs against the Lil Gators. PEE WEE BOYS In the game between the Lil Gators and D.J. Taylor there were many exciting plays. Ken Barber was the Gators leading hitter while Chris Paxton of the Gators stopped the Taylor team with his glove. Ross Stainton was sharp on the defensive and good with the bat as well.
