10 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wedrbsday. August 5, 1987 GEER -- CALDER Utica United Church was the setting on April 25th, 1987 of the wedding of Dulande Calder and Dale Geer. Rev. Edith Ann McMann officiated. The bride wore an off the shoulder gown of white lace. The floor length gown ended in a train. A chapel length veil fell from a pearl trimmed hat. Dulande carried a bouquet of white silk roses. Dulande was attended by Bonnie Rahm, Duniece Thomas, Carmen Calder, Pam Bright and Cindy Knox. They wore off the shoulder floor length gowns of royal and white taffeta with matching hats and flowers. Shannon Calder was the flower girl and Christopher Calder was the ring bearer } Dale and his attendents wore grey tuxedos. Ron Rahm acted as best man with Kevin Crozier, Ray Bright, Dave Geer and Randy Geer acting as ushers. The reception was held at the Blackstock Rec Centre. Dulande and Dale spent their honeymoon in Jamaica. They are now residing on Scugog Island. Sincere sympathy is extended to Dana's parents and other relatives and friends with best wishes for a speedy recovery for Donna. Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Ted Spencely and family on the sudden passing of Ted Spencely last week. For many years Ted was a familiar sight at most country fairs where he acted as a fine M.C. announcing the days activities. Recently Walter and Audrey Wright spent a few days on a boat trip on the Trent-Severn Waterway travelling from Picton to Peterborough. Bride-to-be Lori Cole has been feted with several showers recent- ly. On July 26, her junior bridesmaid and cousin Sharon Locke and her mom Marilyn hosted a family bridal shower at the Nestleton Communi- ty Centre. After Lori had opened the many beautiful gifts from the large number of relatives present she replied fittingly. A lovely lunch was served. In June her bridesmaids Julia Vanderheul and Angie McDonald co-hosted a shower in Lori's honour at Julia's home. Lori's wedding will be on September 12. Nancy and Bob Bryans attended a Jack and Jill dance for Bob's niece Toni Ann Walker whose marriage to Dan Quinn of Ottawa will take place in Oshawa on August 22. Dykstra and daughter Pauline from Holland have spent the last four weeks visiting Lammy and Peter Vanginhoven over on Barber St. Mr. Dykstra is Lammys brother. While here they saw Niagara Falls, the Thousand Islands and the C.N. "Tower but most of all they enjoyed "our weather. First time in weeks I heard someone enjoyed our weather. Heather and Eric Parrish are back in Prince Albert after a weeks stay in Nova Scotia. Kelly is home too from her tour of England and Andrew returned on Thursday from his visit to North Bay.
