If any of the P.P.T.C. members, family or friends of the players missed this event then you missed some pretty exciting tennis! Bob Alexander, Rebecca Kahn and Jay Neill all helped run this tournament. In the Junior Men's Division Scott McTavish was victorious over Jeff Murray, 8-3. In the Junior Ladies Division Wendy Greenwood lost to Melissa Moehring, 4-8. Winners of the consolation were Heather Lawrence over Tasha Vanderwyst and Paul Linton victorious over Kyle Flynn. A big thank-you to Judy Vander- wyst for baking all those delicious cookies, decorated in the 'theme of tenms, of course! Coming this weekend 1s our an- nual Mens and Ladies Doubles Tour- nament, being organized by Laurie Cooper and Do Bigglestone. Par- ticipate, make the Phantom proud of our on-going activities and tour- naments and plan on attending a party at Georgia Brocks this Satur- day night where we can all view Mike Tobin's hobby of photography. The ladies of the Feneion Falls Tennis Club are our guests this Wednesday as we play 'round robin' tennis and enjoy a lunch by the courts. Everyone is getting geared up for our Singles Tournament in September. We're going into our fourth 'week of Monday Night League, Part II. For a lot of us, the courts are like our second home! We can all be proud of our Kawar- tha team. Port Perry has won first place in the overall league standing, winning 36 points out of a possible 48. Playoff action begins next week with Port Perry playing either Lind- say or Fenelon Falls, depending on the outcome of the latter two teams game this week. Remember, tennis is the 'sport of a lifetime.'
