Shannon star- red in a TV commercial, and you can read all about it in accompa- nying story. Shannon makes her acting debute in Cullen commercial Some night in the next few weeks, when you're tuned into the television set, you may just see a familiar ~ face. The face, a decidedly pretty one, belongs to 10 year old Shannon . Brown of Scugog Island, and you may recognize her from stories in _the Port Perry Star a few years ago. At the time, Shannon was busy as a young model, winning contests and showing off clothes for various companies. Well, Shannon hasn't done any modelling for some time (she says it's "boring,"" now that she's mastered the art), but just recent- ly she performed in a commercial, to be shown on both Canadian and American TV stations. The commercial is for Cullen Gardens and Miniature Village, just south of Port Perry. In the ad, a "family (including a mom and dad, gram and gramps, two sons and Shannon as the daughter), general- ly has a great time while everybody romps through the beautiful scenery at the gardens. At the end, Shannon is presented with a birthday cake at the Garden Gate Restaurant. It's only a 30 second commercial, but Shannon says it took all day to film. And while she found the pace tiring, she says it was also fun. The commercial airs from August 24 until September 13, approximate- ly six times a day, and can be seen on Channels CBLT, CBC, WGR2 (Buffalo), and WUTV (Buffalo).
