Myrtle news Regular 'Sunday services have resumed in Myrtle United Church. It is going to take a community ef- fort to keep this church serving the needs of the area. Please give some thought to what the church can do for you and what you can do for the church. The anniversary of the Myrtle Church will be held October 4 at 2:30. Rev. Bob Rumble will be the ~ guest speaker. The Jubilee Choir will lead in song and the new Bible will be dedicated. The Square Dance Club will be at the church September 16 at 8 p.m. for the first lessons in modern square dancing. Bill Robinson will be the caller teaching the first year basics. Plan to join in this activity especially for couples but we always try to work in singles. The lessons are two hours long and the fun and pleasure goes on and on as you pro- gress. Anyone is welcome so please join the group. Seniors hold first meeting by E. Irvine -- Publicity The S.C. held their first meeting on Wed. Sept. 9th to start off another year, opened by the President welcoming everyone back. - After the singing of O Canada, two minutes silence was observed for members who had passed away. We were happy to welcome about a dozen new members to our club. There will he a euchre on Wed. Sept. 16th, 1:30 sharp at the Lat- cham C entre, Our next meeting is on Wed. Sept. 23rd, and a Pot Luck at 5:30. Come on out and join us for the afternoon euchres every other Wednesday.
