Applications will be received on Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 15 from 4-8 p.m. in the arena boardroom. Our membership is on the increase and we look forward to an exciting anniversary season. We would like to invite any like to return to figure skating on a volunteer amateur coaching basis, to contact Jane Chapman or Sharalyn Campbell at the arena during skating sessions. A Hallowe'en Celebration is being planned for Thursday, October 29. Our 'Earlybird Session' winds down this week with a record 19 skaters participating. Club jackets and sweaters are popping up gradually and are available by order only from Pineridge Sports. Keep in mind, our own "'Skating Boutique" is held Thursdays from 4-8 p.m. in the arena lobby. Maureen Dowson keeps a line of tights, guards, mitts, gloves, sweatshirts. dresses, skirts, skate covers, laces and skate cleaning supplies. We also wish to invite the general public to attend a figure skating ses- sion. There is no charge. Our Juniors skate on Mondays from 4-5 Welcome back for another Ringette season with the Bruton's [.D.A. Petites. On Monday October 12, the Bruton's 1.D.A. Petites hosted the Barrie Knights of Columbus team for an exhibition game and were successful in winning by a score of 11-3; Port got off to an early lead and were able to maintain control of the game. At the end of the first period Port led by a score of 7-2. Although Tracy Pelow wasn't overworked, she did make a few good stops. Scorers for the game were Amy Parliament 3 goals, 1 assist, Jen- nifer Morden 2 goals, Kim Pop- pleton 2 goals, 2 assists, Lyndsay Doherty, May Whybrow, Luella Graham.
