On Tuesday the midget and junior girls basketball teams challenged teams from Central Collegiate. Both of our teams were victorious with scores of 60-41 and 58-53 respective- ly. Top scorers for the midgets were Lisa Levy, Tammy Brunner, and Brenda Elford. Our junior girls team will be travelling to Kingston this week. Good luck girls; we'll be looking for- ward to the Kingston player arriv- ing in Port Perry in November. The senior girls basketball team have been practising for their tour- nament in Thornlea on the weekend. On Friday night they lost against a very strong team from Markham District High. On Saturday morning they played against Dunbarton - Secondary. Unfortunately, they came up short on this game also. A good effort was put forth by all team members. "The girls field hockey team end- ed their season on Wednesday. They played Anderson Collegiate - resulting in a tie. All team members played well and gave their best throughout the season. Congratula- tions girls. It's that time--of year again, Rebels, so dig into your closet and pull out your badminton racket.
