The show, held Thursday night during open house, was performed by a group of talented youngsters for a large crowd of parents and grandparents, with standing room only in the school gym. Narrators Karen Brozina and Christopher Faulker revealed the story of a group of children, dress- ed up for Hallowe'en (and to ward off evil spirits), searching for a witch and her delicious brew. Walking backwards (also to ward off evil spirits), they met up with ghosts and bats before discovering the witch (played by Michelle Brown). The costumes were terrific, the set was detailed and creative, and the lighting was imaginative (the ; room was dark at the beginning, ex- cept for the flashlights of the nar- rators, held up to their chins for spooky effects). Lighting and props were taken care of by Kyle Brough and Carolyn Barber. Sets were looked after by Mrs. Taylor, and Mrs. Chase and Portable Two students were in charge of programs. Directors were teachers Mrs. McLaughlin, Mrs. Holditch, Miss Janowski and Mrs. Nastich (who also directed the music).
