Fortunately, through the efforts of Mr. Redman, son John and a lot of friends, neighbours, firefighters and total strangers who pitched in to help, there was no loss of livestock and most of the equipment and machinery was salvaged. "We certainly have a lot of good friends and neighbours,' Mrs. Red- man told the Star the next day, ad- ding that plans are already under- way to build a new barn. Although shaken by the spec- tacular fire, Mrs. Redman said the family was heartened by the fact the milking herd was saved and that so many people offered assistance in so many ways.
