Last Thursday December 10th, the Port Perry Star had the honour of being invited to Santa Packs His Sack, a musical presented by Ep- som Public School at Utica Memory Hall. More than sixty youngsters took part in the program, which centered on Santa Claus and his wife prepar- ing for Christmas Eve, and packing all the toys for his annual trip. One by one, all of Santa's toys crossed the stage and sang gleeful- ly, as Santa (played by Danny Sutherland), Mrs. Claus (Christy Mahlberg), Frosty the Snowman (Justin Bigglestone) and Jack in the Box (Michael Saunders) looked on. Elves were played by Paige Florence, Travis MacSween, Melissa Hooker, Ashley Richardson. Kristy Trotter and Jennifer Stone. Dolls were played by Lee Anne Parish, Andrea Walley, Shauna Simmonds, and Samantha Diotte. Jason Cooper was a cowboy and Aaron Combdon was a pirate. Clowns were Craig Evans, Mat- thew Saunders, Matthew Jeffrey, Michael Saunders, Adam Olivero, Angela Stroud and Robbie Watson. Soldiers were Evan Gower (who also designed the cover of the play's program), Joel Thompson, Bradley Hawker, Travis Van Kessel, Scott Risebrough and James Kidman. Kids on a Train were Brenda Tromans, Dayna Ballagh, Lindsey Doble, Michael Giannini, Mark Power, Teena Evans, Chris McWilliam, Stephen Doble. Robots were Adam Andrews, Tina Andrews, Leah Cleeton, T.J. Flood, Lindsay Gower and Jordon MacKay. Candy Canes were Melin- da Saunders, Jill Stroud, Jennifer Vale, Tanya Schaal, Valerie Ward and Cynthia Quigley. A group of "choral readers' pro- vided the narration for this charm- ing production. They -were Anna Evans, Tanya Wilson, Dennis Good- man, Joel van Veghel, Diana Terlouw, Andrea Sutherland, Katie Collins, - Ardon Crowder, Aaron Crowder, Amy Irving, Daniel Lee, Mandy Schaal, and Graeme Powell.
