Yes Rebels, 'tis true. Once again it is the time for candy canes, mistletoe, and jolly old St. Nick and you won't want to miss school this week as the P.P.H.S. elves have planned a number of events for you to partake in and enjoy. So, if you haven't yet begun to experience the joy of the season, then let P.P .H.S. aid you in grabbing some holiday spirit. Preparations are almost complete for what is sure to be the best Christmas assembly that has ever blessed the stage of Gym AB. There seems to be a small disagreement however, between the Grade 13 students and the teaching staff, over whose Xmas skit will be the better in regards to originality and perfor- mance. You can decide for yourselves which group displays the most talent on Friday morning at the assembly. On Wednesday night at 7:30, the Music Department will be presen- ting its annual Christmas Concert in Gym AB. Jazzmerize, Senior Wind, and the bands and choirs of P.P.H.S. and R.H. Cornish will be among the provided entertainment. So come and delight in this merry event. If you happen to find yourself Gingerbread is judged Wednesday afternoon There'll be some sweet competi- tion going on at the Star office this Wednesday, December 16th, when the Gingerbread House Contest wraps up. Fourteen entries have been registered, and all are required to be at the Star office on the 16th at precisely 4 p.m. Entrants are encouraged to stay and watch the judging, while enjoy- ing coffee and homemade ginger- bread cookies. Judges are Mayor Jerry Taylor, Helen Newlove and Angie Kroonenberg. : Entries will be judged on overall impact, amount of work, creativity and neatness. But to be judged, all gingerbread masterpieces must be at the Star of- fice on Wednesday at 4 p.m. sharp.
