Paul Brignall, representing Port Perry IGA, presents trophy to Kitchener captain Brian Carter for the B championship in the annual Ban- tam tournament held Saturday at the Scugog Arena. At right is Lee Phillips, captain of the Port championship. Perry Sportsland Bantams who lost a tough 2-0 game in the B final. The Sportsland Bantams held Kitchener in scoreless deadlock for much of the final for B teams. In the final for Bantam A teams, Uxbridge knocked off Flesherton for the Thursday December 10, Pineridge hosted the Oshawa LNHL Bruins and defeated them 6-1. Goals were scored by Ian Shrigley with 2, Craig Laird, Ian McCready, Jeff Vernon and Graham Holt each getting one. The Atom B's travelled to Bob- caygeon for the 'Atoms in Action" tournament. They won a hard fought game Friday night against the Warsaw Atom team 3-2. Craig Laird played an excellent game with 2 goals and Ricki Olaisen getting the other one. Assists went to Kent Taylor and Kirk Swain. The flu bug kept Scot Prechitko and wins one! 2 goals, 2 assists, Dale Bronson 1 goal, 3 assists. Other assists to Brian Samis 2, Troy Glazier, Brian Callery and Ken Smart 1 assist each. Game three was a close game but Crandells Riverboat managed to outscore J & D by a score of 4-1. Scoring for Norton's were Clarence Stephenson 1 goal, 2 assists, Dan Carty 1 goal, 1 assist, Brian Norton and Rob Evans 1 goal each. Assists to Bill VanCamp and Dave Mann. Saturday at 1:30, Craig Laird, Jeff Vernon and James Paterson par- ticipated in the tournaments shoot out competition. Both Craig and Jeff put some awesome shots into the net. James wént into an elimination round and another goalie from Peterborough which ended up in a tie. In the third period Port game it their all, but. just couldn't buy a goal. It was an exciting game and good team play was demonstrated by both teams.
