I hope Rudolph and the other reindeer are happy and ready to go in the sky. For Christmas could I please have Preemie and a recorder. My sister Leanne is almost 2. She would like a doll and baby Popples. We are trying to be good. We'll leave you some turkey on Christmas Eve. Love from Colleen Barfoot (4) Leanne Barfoot (2) Ashburn, Ontario Christmas How To Prepare The Christmas Turkey To prepare a Christmas turkey you must first go to a turkey farm and get a live turkey. Make sure you go about ten days before Christmas So you can put it in a pen and fatten it up for seven days. On the eighth day take a shotgun and shoot it in the head. I don't mean to be morbid, but if you shoot it in the stomach, you can't eat it or you will get lead poisoning. Take it and put it in the freezer for twenty-four hours and then pluck its feathers. Cut off its head and feet. Put it into the freezer until you're ready to go on. When you're ready, take it out of the freezer. Lay it in a pan. If you wish, put twenty-five to thirty whole cloves on the surface of the turkey for more flavour. Some people, like my mother, like this, but I don't. Put the turkey in the oven for three to three and a half hours on 400°. When it's cooked, take it out, put a small hole in the rear of the turkey, and stuff it with still wrapped candy canes. Now it is ready to serve. War- ning: Do not eat it, for it may be hazardous to your health. Melissa Burghraef Grade 6 Scugog Christian School Wishing you the special gifts of Christmas ...
