Please call Mrs. Hamilton at 985-2567. There were 12 tables of euchre played on Friday evening in the hall. Prizes were awarded to: Ladies- 1st Mary Cannon, 2nd rachel Harper & 3rd Vera Brown. Men's first Mar- tin Gall, 2nd Bill Butters & 3rd Cor- less Ashenhurst. Freeze-out winners were Mary Cannon & Caroline Haugh, 2nd were Art Richardson & - Joan Fleming. Draw winners were Martin Gall, Mary Cannon & Annie Bowman. There will be another euchre in two weeks. Recent visitors with Stephen & Alison Aked were his sisters Heather from Toronto, Caroline & their parents Mr. & Mrs. Maurice Aked of Yellowknife. On Jan. 25th, at 1:30 p.m. the Port Perry Hospital Auxiliary are holding a euchre in the Latcham Centre. The Utica Store has re-opened after being closed for a couple of weeks to enable Keith & Sylvia to take a well deserved vacation. You never realized how much we need the convenience of a village store until it's not there. Welcome back. Hillis & Carol Wilbur & their fami- ly spent the weekend in Kingston with the Port Perry Bantam Hockey team who were playing in a tourna- ment in Ernestown. While in Kingston, they were visited by Mr. Donny Young, formerly of Port Perry and former neighbour Charlie Brown & wife Sue. Annual church meeting Greenbunk and Area News Church news for the week has on- ly one meeting, and that is the An- nual meeting on Thurs. Jan. 14th at 7:30, also there will be regular ser- vices on Sunday, 11 o'clock with Sunday School at the same time. Mr. & Mrs. Brian Beatty and family spent the Christmas holiday in the warm sun of Florida at West Palm Beach with Brian's parents. Mr. Trevor Watson of Markham visited one day last week with Mr. & Mrs. Armour McMillan. Mrs. Debbie Roundell of Ajax called on her grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Frank Lee on Sunday. Mrs. Penny Fitzgerald of Ajax spent Sunday with her parents Mr. & Mrs. Don McKean. Professor McCready spent some time recently visiting with his sister and family at Crystal Lake. - Allen's Siding January meeting of the Green- bank Women's Institute will be held Jan. 20th, 2 o'clock at the home of Velma Foster. Mrs. Elizabeth Fulford of Port Perry will be guest speaker. Community Services are hoping in having Meals-on-Wheels extended into Greenbank and Seagrave. Anyone interested in the project please attend this meeting and learn more about it. I apologize on the 'no news" last week, but after several phone calls there just wasn't any and as you see this week it is also short.
