After going down in defeat to Mississauga last weekend in overtime Port was out to demonstrate that they weren't going "to stand idle and let it happen again. From the opening free pass the game was exciting with fast skating, slick passing and hard shots on net. By mid point of the first period Port had a 2-0 lead and ended the period that way. The second period was fast faced with end to end action. Kim Pop- pleton set up a beautiful play when she passed the ring up to Leea Kin- nunen who deeked a couple of players and passed the ring over to Amanda Webb who went one on one with the Mississauga goaltender to score in the upper right hand corner to go ahead 3-0. Our goaltender, Tracy Pelow, who played an excellent game in Milliken, continued her form in this game with lots of good stops. Mississauga came back with two goals before the game ended but due to a great effort by the Port team the game ended 3-2 in Port's favour.
