This is always a favourite for both teams and a very close game was played, but the girls came out the winners 2-1. Coach Susan Watson encouraged her team on and scoring for the teachers was Dave Brown, assisted by Rob Smart. Belles end Ringette week with well-played win over Whitby Port Perry IGA Belles ended Ringette week thé same way as they started and that was with a victory. Port was not the gracious host as they defeated Whitby by a score of 6-1. All girls played an excellent game as everyone con- tributed to the well-earned vic- tory. The last time these two teams met, it was a victory for Port ina heavily penalized game. This time the girls stuck to play- ing the game the way it should be played and were well deserving of the victory. Outstanding goalten- ding by T.C. Childs led the team as the score was only 2-1 after the first half. Our offence finally got started and we scored 4 goals in the second half to put the game away. The defence of Lisa Fran- cis, Kim Caudle, Dana Forder and Denise Tompkins also played well and helped break up a play after play to aid T.C. and send the forwards away in the attack.
