Landscaping design lessons - Ashburn and Area News by Florence Ashton The landscape design course sponsored by Brooklin Horticultu- ral Society is now underway, with Ken Brown conducting same. This is being held at Burns Church each Monday evening throughout April from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p-m. The course will deal with all aspects of landscaping for the home gardner, covering plant ma- terials and landscape treatments. There was a fine attendance at morning worship on Easter Sun- day moring. We were privileged to have as our guest minister, the Rev. Richard Fee from Nigeria. Rev. McEntyre sang so beautiful- ly "The Holy City". Also the Jun- 1or and Senior Choir sang. Next Sunday, will be the First Ashburn Troop Parade. The con- gregation are invited to join the ys, their leaders and parents for lunch in the lower hall following the service. On Sunday evening, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. The Watchmen from Kitchener will be with us at Burns Church. If you enjoy good Gospel Music, plan to join with us. A social time will follow. The Watchmen have been singing Gospel Music for over 19 years. On Saturday, April 23 there will be a work bee at the church, meet- ing at 9:00 a.m. Everyone is in- vited to join in the fun. The Kirk Guild will serve lunch. Used eye glasses are being col- lected for the Christian Blind Mis- sion. You may place your dona- tions in a box in the nartex. The Kirk Guild is collecting Canada Packer labels (Maple Leaf and York Brand) toward kitchen equipment. Please SAVE YOUR LABELS and leave in the church kitchen.
