The Rockets took a quick 4 to "1 lead after just one period; in fact Ryan Duff scored the team's first goal with just seven seconds into the game. Ryan scored anoth- er goal in the first period to go along with goals from Rocket teammates Mark Brown and Den- nis Goodman. Kristian Holland got the lone gaoal for the Shoot- ing Stars. In the second period, Doug Short of the Stars closed the gap to 4 to 2. Before the period was over, Calvin Hammett had scored to Josaage the Rockets lead by 5 to 2.
