The Port Perry Pee Wee Legionaires are all tied up in their final series for the All-Ontario Championship. On Saturday the team travelled to Galt to play against Hespeler and came home with a tight 4-2 victory. Steve Laird started Port on to its victory with a great deek on the Hespeler netminder for an unassisted goal. Shawn Larocque was between the pipes for Port and came up with some great goaltending in the first period. In the second period Steve Laird set up Port's next goal, after coming from behind the Hespeler net, and passing the puck straight to Duane Empr- ingham, who didn't miss his mark. Hespeler was able to score twice on Port in the second period, but the final period saw Steve Laird again score for Port in the A Division final 13 of the Scugog Mens League, Dennis Anderson Chev Olds won 4-0 and the game's MVP was Bill Bridge (right) who scored all four goals for his team. Bill had quite a year as he led the scoring parade during regular league play. At left is Dave Harrison, the final game winner of best de- fenseman award. Port went into the second period with Hespeler again scor- ing on our team before we were finally able to find their net. Jeff Andrews came up with a big goal for us on a great unassisted effort. Befgre the end of the second period defenseman Jeff Andrews again scored from the corner of the Hespeler zone, with the assist to Jeff Parry. In the third period the boys knew they had to give it their all, and Jeff Andrews scored the first defenseman's hat trick in a game, with a great pass from Jeff Parry, who had received the in- itial pass from Steve Laird.
