The parish is in the Peterbo- rough diocee. Diosesan president Bernice Leahy was on hand to present the charter. Father Tom Lynch installed the executives: President Ria Hooge- veen; Vice-President Cheryl Vog- el; Secretary Diny Oosterholt; Treasurer Anita Mazzarolo. Letters of congratulations were received from the National office in Winni- peg and from the Provincial office. The meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month at one of the members' homes. After Mass there was a luncheon to celebrate the occasion. The group joined 126,000 mem- bers in Canada (72,000) in Onta- rio. There are 40 parish councils in Peterborough. The first goal for Port came at 12:47 of the first period and their last one at 6:53 of the second. Mississauga were unable to score until 2:14 was left on the clock, taking the shut-out away from Kerri Allen, who played a super game in net. Port Perry's goals were scored by Kelly Calloway 4 goals, Lisa Levy 4 goals and Michelle Beare 1 goal.
