Snowmobile Club wins President's Citation by Bruce Luke The annual convention of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs was held recently in Peterborough, April 8, 9, and 10th. The Port Perry Snowmobile Club was one of 7 clubs helping to host the event for the 613 delegates who attended and were representative of the 224 clubs in the Province. It came as a complete surprise when the Board of Directors and assistants chose the Port Perry Snowmobile Club for the highest honor. The President's Citation. This is an award presented an- nually to the club with the most active program for its members and is judged by the submission of a 'scrap-book' as well as club bulletins. Our Vice-President, Bill Harper, was present to receive the trophy on the club's behalf. I'm sure snowmobiling is the last thing on everyone's mind these days, but several dedicated members attended the meeting, Sunday April 17 to cast their vote at the annual elections of the Port Perry Snowmobile Club. Follow- ing are the results: President - Jim Adams; Vice-President - Charlie Harper; Secretary - Carol Adams; Treasurer - Gwen Luke; Membership - Jean Short; Social Director - Marion Lee; Publicity - Bruce Luke; Trails-Signing - Bob Farmer; Grooming Co- ordinator - Ross Short; Maintenance - Bruce Stauffer and Peter Booth; Warden Captain - Bill Harper; C.0.R.S.A. Reps - Mike Baker and Jean Short. Everyone is invited to attend the next and last meeting of the year, Sunday May 1, 3:00 p.m. at the clubhouse on Shirley Road. The meeting will be followed by a pot luck supper. So grab the kids and a casserole and 'come on out' to help us finish off the year.
