Cornish Public School, and the Grade Six Boys team is part of the reason behind the success. After beating Sunderland Public School in a 33-8 final, the team captured the Area Champs title for Durham Central on April 21. Fees are $15.00 for juniors and $25.00 for adults. Registration will be done at the annual meeting tonight or at the courts on May 10th, between 7 and 9 p.m. or by mailing an application form together with a cheque payable to the Port Perry Tennis Club. A general work party is plann- ed for this Saturday in order to get the courts in shape for this year's season. Windscreens will be put up and a general clean-up of the courts and surrounding area. If any members can help, then come down in the morning, then play some tennis after the job is finished. Sounds like fun - who says you can't combine work and play! A fun tournament for members is being planned for Sunday, May 22nd with a barbeque following. These events are always a lot of fun and a popular season-starter. Monday Night League will be returning again, by popular de- mand. The league starts Monday, May 30th. More information on both these events will be printed at a later date, but plan on getting involved in "the sport of a lifetime'. See you at the courts.
