The second summer of Band- shell Concerts in the Park will kick off on Sunday, May 29 at 2:00 PM with the Newmarket Citizens Band, which has been in existence for over a century and is the oldest community band in the couutry. The remainder of the summer schedule is as follows: Wed. June 8, the PPHS Band. Sunday, June 12, Dixieland with John Orde and Gord Coup- land. Thurs. June 16, Country Chords and the Cloggers. Sunday, June 26, the Lido German Band. Sunday, July 17 during Festi- val Days, a five band pipe and drum tattoo. Sunday, July 31, Dixieland with Orde and Coupland. Sunday August 7 in the after- noon, a variety of local entertain- ment including the Golden Slip- pers. Sunday, Augst 28 the New- market Citizens Band. All performances on Sundays will be at 2:00 PM and those dur- ing the week will start shortly af- ter 7:00 PM. There is no admission for these performances, but a silver collection to off-set expenses will be taken. All you have to do is bring your own lawn chair, sit back, re- lax and enjoy the music in a beau- tiful setting.
