Our group was very much appreciated by the people for whom we perform-- ed. In total we had played to over 1000 people during the three con- certs. We then travelled to the "Museum of Man and Natural Science." Here we saw a special exhibit about the life of the wolf as well as other fascinating ex- hibits. We then enjoyed another delicious meal at Uncle Louis'. After returning to our hotel we were on our bus once again for a conducted tour of Ottawa. Our group then enjoyed another refreshing evening of sauna, swimming and hot tub. Upon our third day, after check- R ing out of the Chimo we enjoyed yet another meal at Uncle Louis' Restaurant. We then headed for the Ottawa War Museum where we found a new exhibit opened the previous day by Queen Beatrix, Queen of the Netherlands. After an exhausting day we headed for home, sweet home. Judges for the event were Bing Harris and John Richard Kuehnle and Helen Brose both of New York and Bobby Schott of Georgia. The show was officially opened by Percy VanCamp of Blackstock and 'were welcomed by President Elmer Huggins. Details were arranged by Trevor Kendell, superintendent, Ron Petersen, Secretary and Bea Huggins, Social Convenor. A number from here attended the recent ordination service in Toronto when Susan Sheen was ordained into the Anglican Church. There was a reception at Trinity Church after the ceremony. Emmanuel Gospel marks twelve years Emmanuel Full Gospel Fellowship is marking 12 years of ministry with an Anniversary weekend, May 28 and 29. Visitors from Toronto, Gravenhurst, and Peterborough will join the local congregation at a Pot-Luck Dinner on Saturday night, fellowed by a Fellowship Evening of music, song, sharing and worship. Guest speaker for the Anniver- sary is Pastor Harry Vellacoop of Dayspring Fellowship in Toronto. His wife Connie will provide ministry in song, and in speaking to the Sunday morning Bible Class. Emmanuel Fellowship is part of a world-wide fellowship of Apostolic Churches, whose aims are to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the need to be born again, and the necessity of the Spirit- filled life of a believer. The Pastor, Gordon B. Parks, who is leaving the following Sun- day, and moving to a sister church in Peterborough, gives thanks to God for the work which has been established here. Myrtle news On May 28, at the beginning of 'the children's fun party at 10 a.m. a blue spruce tree will be planted by Uxbridge Nurseries on the church lawn in memory of Mr. Marconi of Ashburn who died recently in an auto accident. Mr. Marconi was an esteemed friend of Myrtle Church. John and Laural Hamer attend- ed the Toronto and District Square Dance Convention in Hamilton last weekend. Three thousand square dancers from Canada and the U.S. met for three days at McMaster University and enjoyed the fun and association of modern square dancing.
